Finding time to be with your family even for a day is getting harder these days. Yet, as habit number 4 in the 7 habits of highly effective people says that you really have to “put first things first.” Family matters to me, it could be on the top of the list if not in the second. The last time we spent time exclusively together was in December 2012. To at least give ourselves a break and a brief refreshment from life’s busyness, I devoted a day for my family.
It’s almost midday when we left home. As we were getting closer to the metropolis, my stomach also craved for food. My brain told me to stop at Kainan ni Mang Peping, a fine dining Dagupan restaurant along De Venecia Extension in Dagupan that I pass by every day when I go for work. This time not only a passerby but a customer. It was my first time and the first was with my first on my priorities (my family).
Thankfully, we didn’t have a hard time finding a kubo or cabin to settle in. As we parked our sidecar we instantaneously picked our place and a service crew immediately took our orders. We chose kinigtot, chopsuey, and liempo. I ordered for a bottle of San Mig light. My wife said she made the right choice on our orders. It was an unforgettable sumptuous meal. Even my two kids got delighted with it.
Why don’t you drop by one time at Kainan ni Mang Peping? Enjoy life, enjoy good food!
